The main characters in Old Man and the Sea are Santiago, a fisherman and Manolin, a boy who helps him.
Three adjectives that describe Santiago are 1)lonely 2)old 3)poor
Firstly, I feel that Santiago is lonely from "he fished alone in a skiff in the Gulf Stream"(p9, line 1-2)
Secondly,I feel that Santiago is old from "he was an old man"(p9, line1) "Age is my alarm clock"(p24, line 3), and "everything about him was old exept his eyes."(p10, line 6)
Finaly, I feel that Santiago is poor from "his shirt had been patched so many times that it was like the sail ."(p18, line 22-23)
Two adjectives that describe Manolin are 1)kind 2)young.
I feel that Manolin is kind from "the boy took the old army blanket off the bed and spread it over the back of the chair and over the old man's shoulders."(p18, line 16-18)
And I feel that Manalin is young from "All I know is that young boys sleep late and hard."(p24, line5-6)
